The Skill Acquisition Program for the 2026/2027 academic session at Peter University has commenced with a presentation session designed to help students make informed choices about the skills they wish to learn.

At the kickoff, facilitators representing the various skill areas were given five minutes each to introduce and pitch their skills to the students, highlighting the opportunities and benefits associated with each.

Declaring the program open, the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Chukwuemenam Emmanuel Umezinwa, urged the students to take the program seriously and make the most of the opportunity provided by the University. He also charged the facilitators to give their best in equipping the students with practical and valuable skills.

The Skill Acquisition Coordinator, Mrs. Uchenna Abunike, introduced the facilitators and provided an overview of the program and its activities.

Also present at the kickoff were the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Adaora Enenchi, and the Acting Dean of Students Affairs, Rev. Fr. Kingsley Ibeh.

The program is part of the University’s commitment to equipping students with practical skills that can complement their academic training and prepare them for opportunities beyond the classroom.
